We had our first Termite swarm on Friday in Stamford. This was a swarm that was from a slab on grade structure, so the soil below the slab not getting cold enough allowed the termites to stay active. We have had a very mild winter so far, and lots of moisture. When spring does role around, keep a careful watch for any insect swarming activity. Termites only fly a short distance then shed their wings. When in a structure, termites swarm toward light. The wings will be left on the windowsill and floor below. Save samples and call us to verify. Visit our website, www.aavonpestcontrol.com. Or call our office at (203) 329 2600 or (866) AAVON11
